Disclaimer

Before Glitch potentially bans this project for violating their policy on "violating any person’s right to privacy or publicity or otherwise solicits, collects, or publishes data, including personal information and login information, about other Users without consent [...]", I would like to clarify the following:

• Data can be easily deleted upon request.
• Data collection is performed only with the explicit consent of the user.
• No personal information or login credentials are collected (IP addresses and the rest of the information collected is not typically considered personal information).
• This project adheres to all applicable laws and regulations.
• The primary purpose of this project is educational.

What is LinkLog?

LinkLog is a small, simple and powerful link shortner and IP logger built with Glitch. Learn more on our homepage.

These terms of service and privacy policies are as short as possible so you can easily understand how we handle your data.

Terms of service

1. By using LinkLog to shorten links, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. LinkLog provides tools for tracking and logging IP addresses from links shared by users. The Service is intended for legal and ethical use only.
3. You agree to use LinkLog in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. You must obtain explicit consent from individuals before tracking their IP addresses. You may not use LinkLog for harassment, unauthorized surveillance, or any illegal activities.
4. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your information and for all activities that occur under your browser.
5. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users of the Service, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.
6. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Privacy policy

Information We Collect

We only collect information about you when you click a short link, not when you generate one. All of the information we collect is clearly visible in your dashboard. We don't collect usage data or use cookies.

How We Use Your Information

We will only use your information for it's intended purpose that is clearly stated when we use it.

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not share your information with third-parties.
• We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect our rights.
• Your information is stored by Glitch. You should also check their privacy policy.

Security of Your Information

• We use commercially reasonable efforts to secure your information.
• No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
• ALL OF THE COLLECTED INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE TO THE WEBSITE OWNER. If this wasn't possible, LinkLog would be a lot slower (encryption is slow), more complicated to manage, less powerful (encryption uses a lot of server power) and much less safe.

Your Data Protection Rights

• Access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data by contacting us at tiagorangel.com/contact.
• Erasure: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data, as you will be able to below.
• Restrict Processing: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data.
• Object to Processing: You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

Delete myself

We have tried to make it as easy as possibly to remove your data. In order for us to remove your data from LinkLog, we will need to temprarily gather your IP address to enable us to locate your record(s) and delete it. Rest assured, the identified information will not be stored in our database.

However, if your IP address has changed since accessing the link (e.g. if your IP is not static and has changed), finding and removing your record from our database may not be possible as there is no data that can identify you.

Deleting your data without knowing the link URL is currently not possible using this form - if you want to do this, please contact us using this link.

Please note that when using this form the author of the short link will be able to know that your data has been requested to be removed. By clicking "Request deletion" below, you agree that your data will be permanently deleted from the LinkLog URL specified. The author of the link might still be able to recover the deleted data by saving it before it gets deleted.
